_______________________________________

Lines and colors take on many forms in Joost Krijnen’s work. Energetic, monumental gestures alternate with quick sketches. Strictly geometric, colored planes are put into perspective by apparently arbitrary first attempts.
Dissonant and harmonious, everything comes together in four large-scale panels that respond to each other, the overarching motive being the daily routine of drawing, painting, sketching or simply putting lines on paper.
