Kruk approaches each new piece like a novelist a blank page: true and untrue fuse together, projects evolve, change and are rewritten according to which character enters the story. Kruk’s inherent openness is the by-product of a desire to fully understand his subject matter. What at first may appear to be a lack of originality, allows him to remain gloriously detached, yet deeply engaged in the peculiarities of the authoritarian art world.
