The Rijksakademie Artists’ Endowment (RAEF) is a manifestation of mutual, loyal support by artists for artists associated with the Rijksakademie: former residents, (former) advisors and the winners of the Prix de Rome. Present and future generations of talented artists at the Rijksakademie will benefit from the fruits of the trust. 

 

Artists offered their work and this was auctioned in June 2010. Amid international interest the “Global Contemporary, Artists for Artists” auction at Sotheby’s raised just over one million Euros. Important private collectors, representatives from the museological world, gallery owners and other interested parties attended the auction.

 

The income from capital will be spent on research and production by resident artists at the Rijksakademie. In addition to the state and patronage – the trust forms the third financial pillar of the Rijksakademie.
