The first adjudication round of the Prix de Rome took place in November 2010. An international jury comprising Pedro Cabrita Reis (PT, visual artist), Sung Hwan Kim (KR/USA, visual artist), Wendelien van Oldenborgh (NL, visual artist), Silke Otto - Knapp (DE, visual artist), and Adam Szymczyk (PL, curator, Director of Kunsthalle Basel) and under the leadership of Hendrik Driessen, Director of De Pont museum in Tilburg, selected a long list of ten artists from a total of two hundred entries.

Early in December – from this long list – four artists were selected for a shortlist. Priscila Fernandes, Ben Pointeker, Pilvi Takala and Vincent Vulsma have been given the opportunity of working at the Rijksakademie from mid January.

The work that they created will be exhibited in SMART Project Space in Amsterdam from 8 May 2011.
