Astrid Nobels drawings, sculptures and installations focus on the in-between. Time, memory, opposites and borders or transitory areas are reoccuring themes. Indissoluble contradictions like dream and reality, before and after, dark and light are united in the works. Within the artwork she looks for a combined balance or a balanced division, therefore many of the works display different sides, openings, or counterparts.

Media include drawing, photography, text, lost and found objects and wooden structures.
