Born Eskilstuna (SE), 1981
In her previous works Jenny Lindblom has browsed through vacation packages and beach resort reviews, exploring how notions of class and race are circulated through the leisure economy and its messaging. She considers how these packages and brochures promote a desirable life and lifestyle through images and words and how they affect the bodies of the consumers.
Lindblom’s current body of work begins with human expressions of creativity and rituals of the present and the past; from ancient cave paintings of stenciled hands made by pigments being blown through pipes of bone, as well as from the spray tan body contouring and praise hands emojis of today.
