Pathy Tshindele kijkt kritisch naar zijn omgeving en verdiept zich in het dagelijks leven in de maatschappij. In zijn vroegere woonplaats Kinshasa, hoofdstad van de Democratische Republiek Kongo, werkte hij vaak in de publieke ruimte; daarbij was hij op zoek naar manieren om de stilte te verbreken en zingeving te vinden waar die leek te zijn verloren. Hij stelt vragen, zonder per se het antwoord af te wachten. Hij werkt met verschillende media; van schilderijen tot installaties met gevonden materialen. Voor zijn huidige schilderijen wordt Thsindele beïnvloed door scenografie.
Pathy Tshindele Kapinga questions his environment and is interested in the daily life of society. In his hometown Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, he often worked in the public space looking for ways to break the silence and find meaning where it appears to be lost. He raises questions, without necessarily waiting for the answer. He works with different media: from installations based on found materials to painting. In his current paintings Thsindele Kapinga is inspired by the function of scenography.
