The Rijksakademie holds a special position in the international world of contemporary visual art. In the Netherlands the Rijksakademie is the main port to the international art world.
Resident artists, advisors and Prix de Rome winners form a global society of artists in which the Rijksakademie is the pivot.
To get a broad outline of the careers of former resident artists and Prix de Rome winners, the Rijksakademie researched presention of alumni in the period 2001-2004.
