RAIN
The RAIN Artists’ Initiatives Network started out from the Rijksakademie at the end of the nineties. It is a worldwide platform interconnecting artists’ initiatives that have been set up by alumni in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The network works on behalf of mutual exchanges within a global perspective and stimulates an active dialogue on ideas, information, art, artists and cultural references.The heart of the network consists of:

• Centre Soleil d’Afrique (Bamako, Mali) - Hama Goro
• El despacho (Mexico City, Mexico) - Diego Gutiérrez Coppe
• Open Circle (Mumbai, India) – (terminated) Sharmila Samant & Tushar Joag
• Pulse (Durban, South Africa) - Greg Streak
• ruangrupa (Jakarta, Indonesia) - Ade Darmawan
• Trama (Buenos Aires, Argentina) - Claudia Fontes
and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam.
