The work of Pakistani artist Noor Ali Chagani symbolizes his search for a place to call his own. As a child from a broken home, he feels very much connected to the ideas of safety, family and the personal space a home can provide. His repetitive use of miniature bricks refers to the way one would build up a traditional South Asian or Mughal miniature painting, with thousands of tiny brush strokes, while these small blocks serve as the building units for his dreams.
