The book Illusions of a Frisian Landscape is a playful reflection on folklore and secular knowledge as resistance acts on global economy. It revolves around numerous experiences of the landscape through technology, history, art and ecology. Kievit's eggs, jumping over canals and cosmic meditations by the French artist.

This novella is a true account of the ventures of Eric Giraudet de Boudemange (1983) during his residency at Kunsthuis SYB in Beetsterzwaag in 2015. His research resulted in an exhibition and performance during the Triënnale Sfear fan Ynset, components of which have subsequently been acquired for the collection of the Fries Museum. These sculptures and video works are currently on display in a new developed installation called The Story of Water, Milk and Peewit Eggs at the Fries Museum. You can visit this solo exhibition by Giraudet de Boudemange in Leeuwarden until the end of 2017. In Billytown Den Haag Giraudet de Boudemange constructed recently the solo show Apenkooi.

The book was initiated and published by the nomadic art initiative Festival of Sports, designed by Karoline Swiezynski and it comprises a Dutch, English and Frisian translation.
