Remco Torenbosch (°1982) investigates the socio-economic and political forces that have a direct influence on our daily lives. He focuses on a wide range of themes, including the complex dynamics of the global political economy and the relationship between labor and property. He studied at the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam; Universität der Künste in Berlin and is currently a resident at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. His work has been exhibited at institutions including: Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam; Kunsthalle Wien; Victoria and Albert Museum London; De Appel Arts Centre Amsterdam; Kunsthaus Zürich; De Vleeshal Middelburg; and GAMeC Bergamo. He participated in collaboration projects with Forum on European Culture and Kitchen139, A cooperation with Casco in the context of the Grand Domestic Revolution. In 2013 he was shortlisted for the Prix de Rome.
